Neighborhoods.com

Location, Location, Location. It’s the most iconic phrase used in real estate and is always applied to the location of the home. Neighborhoods.com looks beyond that to showcase what it would be like to live in the neighborhood and then with the help of our neighborhood experts, find your perfect home so you can live your best life.

As the first design hire, my role was to conduct research, architect, wireframe, create a brand, design the site, and work with our stakeholders and engineers to launch the MVP of Neighborhoods.com in under six months.

Over the last few years, we have added designers and researchers to my team. The site has evolved through usability sessions, user surveys, A/B testing, and internal initiatives to bring to the market what other real estate sites do not — find your neighborhood and then find your home.

Role: Creative Director, Discovery, Wireframes, Strategy, A/B Testing, User Testing and Interviews

Research & Sketching

Research & Sketching

Sketching quickly captures spontaneous ideas that arrive from reviewing research. I do believe that analog creation aids in working through ideas in a low friction way that keeps the focus on the problem, not getting hung up on pixel perfection paralysis.

Indepth neighborhood & city details

Indepth neighborhood & city details

Each of our custom pages is designed to showcase the details of the neighborhood being viewed, whether suburban or urban. Locally written overview details, reviews, school info, yelp! on the map and photo galleries provide overview details of the area. We are constantly looking to deliver the neighborhood level information that our users are looking for.

A/B Testing

A/B Testing

We conduct a robust A/B testing program that focuses on decreasing user friction so that our visitors have the best possible experience. Some experiments are visually minor but have a high impact, others are larger in scale. An example is the evolution of the top of the property pages where each iteration built upon the previous learnings to provide visitors what they want.
